HOW TO ORDER

Epoch Industries’ part numbering system was designed to make it easy for our customers to place an order.  There are two formats for part numbers depending on whether the roll is a dead or live shaft roll.  Both part numbers begin by specifying the roll type using the letter codes shown below.

SA - Standard Aluminum
LW - Lightweight Aluminum
LA - Lightweight Alulite
COMP - Lightweight Composite
ST - Steel dead shaft
SS - Stainless steel dead shaft
SAL - Aluminum live shaft
COMPL - Composite live shaft
STL - Steel live shaft
SSL - Stainless steel live shaft

DEAD SHAFT IDLER ROLLS

PART NO. : XX-RD-SD-RF-OS
EXAMPLE: SA-5.0-1.25-65.0-1500

The first part of the number is the letter code designating the type of roll being ordered.  "RD" is the Roll Diameter, "SD" is the Shaft Diameter, "RF" the Roll Face, and "OS" the Operating Speed.  So our example is used for ordering a Standard Aluminum roll with a 5.0" diameter, a 1.25" diameter shaft, a 65.0" Roll Face, and an Operating Speed of 1500 F.P.M.

LIVE SHAFT IDLER ROLLS

PART NO. : XX-RD-RF-OAL-OS
EXAMPLE: SAL-3.0-67.5-72.0-650

As with the dead shaft part number, live shaft part numbers begin with the letter code designating the type of roll being ordered.  "RD" is the Roll Diameter, "RF" the Roll Face, "OAL" is the OverAll Length, and "OS" the Operating Speed.  So the example is specifying a Standard Aluminum Live shaft roll, with a 3.0" Roll Diameter, a 67.5" Roll Face, and Overall Length of 72.0" and an Operating Speed of 650 F.P.M.
