All this adds up to an idler that can ramp up to speed faster, stops quicker, and maintains line speed better than heavier idlers. Web tension problems are reduced, tracking improved, and potential for grooving the roll is diminished. 

A special feature of Alulite rolls is that they can easily be converted to Live Shaft rolls by using bolt-on live shafts.

These idlers are dynamically balanced to ISO grade G6.3. Each roll is machined to precision tolerances and has a 32 RMS surface finish across the face. If hard a surface is required to prevent grooving, hard coat anodizing is a popular surface treatment we provide.
