Epoch has chosen SealMaster bearings to be the sole supplier of our ER series bearings used in many of our dead shaft idler rolls. Epoch selected the SealMaster brand due to its reputation for excellent quality. Epoch's standard bearing is SealMaster's ERX-TREME LO DRAG ™ bearing, which has a low drag felt seal, not shielded like other idler roll manufacturers. 

An idler roller's bearings directly affect the rolls breakaway torque and its free-running performance. The advantages of a low inertia idler roll could be lost if the wrong bearings are used. The SealMaster ERX-TREME LO DRAG ™ bearing provide free-running rotation while working to retain grease and maintaining top notch low drag sealing. The special channeling grease coats and lubricates the internal bearing components achieving minimum friction. And unlike other free-running labyrinth designs, SealMaster ERX-TREME LO DRAG ™ bearings utilizes its advanced low drag felt seal to prevent lubricant contamination.
